Disability Awareness Block Party

SMILES Disability Awareness Block Party will be held Tuesday, Aug 17, 4-7p.m. at the Madison East Shopping Center. If you would like to take part in the Block Party, click here to get the registration form and return it to Anne Murray.

In 2008, SMILES started the Doug Miller Success With Disabilities Award, given annually at the Block Party to recognize someone who is successful with disabilities.

A success may be setting a personal goal and reaching it, or to trying to learn something new and doing it well.

Contact Anne Murray at SMILES to nominate someone you know for the Doug Miller Success With Disability Award, and come to the Block Party to celebrate their success!

Gillette Mobile Outreach Clinic

Gillette Children's Mobile Outreach Clinics are designed to help people with disabilities gain access to assistive technology services in areas where those services are not readily available throughout Minnesota

Traveling in specially equipped vans, staff members bring assistive technology services to these clinics. In addition to workstations, welders and other tools, the van has the capability of transporting a wide range of specialized assistive technology devices to outreach sites

For more information about the services Gillette provides or to schedule an appointment, call the New Brighton Clinic at (651) 636-9443 for voice or TDD, or 800-578-4266, or send e-mail to dhegler@gillettechildrens.com
