4th Annual Disability Awareness Block Party.

Tuesday, Aug 19th, 3-7pm, Bethlehem Lutheran Church parking lot. The event is free and open to the public. This is a community celebration of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This year we are pleased to bring Sidiki Conde and Mamady Sano here from New York City They will be performing traditional West African dances in addition to holding dance workshops.

Sidiki Conde lost the use of his legs as a child due to polio and learned to use his hands instead of his feet for many tasks including the traditional coming of age ceremony of his native Guinea, West Africa. Dwayne and Marianne Szot of Szot Arts For All are returning, as are the AKtion Club Theater Group and many other favorite acts and activities from previous events. Stay tuned for additional updates

Gillette Mobile Outreach Clinic

Gillette Children's Mobile Outreach Clinics are designed to help people with disabilities gain access to assistive technology services in areas where those services are not readily available throughout Minnesota

Traveling in specially equipped vans, staff members bring assistive technology services to these clinics. In addition to workstations, welders and other tools, the van has the capability of transporting a wide range of specialized assistive technology devices to outreach sites
